This Interactive Reading Tutor is a simple demonstration of a tutor for children that can be used to improve reading comprehension and to practice other subjects. The intelligent tutor interactively reads a story and models cognitive activities such as self-monitoring, making predictions and answering questions. The tutor can define words from the story and includes a basic lexicon of over 1500 words adapted from the Voice of America Special English Word Book.
